Michael Lehman

Pastor

Pastor Mike began serving FMCC in November 2011. Prior to that time he served four years as associate pastor of Eastwood Christian Church in Nashville, TN, where he was also ordained in 2010. Mike attended the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, where he received a degree in Classical Percussion Performance, and the Vanderbilt Divinity School/Disciples Divinity House, where he received his Master of Divinity degree.

Mike has a deep passion for teaching and preaching the Scriptures, worship, working with youth, practicing and teaching contemplative prayer, providing pastoral care, and witnessing to and celebrating the inclusive, awesome, and radical love of Jesus Christ for all people. He serves on the board of the Thomas Campbell Apartments for low-income residents and as a member of the Washington County Opioid Overdose Coalition. He helped found and lead “Project Refuge,” a program that helps faith communities challenge stigma surrounding addiction and become safe spaces for folks seeking help.

Pastor Mike loves his family, music, backpacking, hiking, running, reading, and the church in Washington God has called him to serve. From Akron, OH and a fan of Cleveland sports, he cheers openly and enthusiastically against the Steelers. But, he is quick to add, “Go Pens!”

Gena Sheller

Associate Pastor

A lifelong member of FMCC, Pastor Gena has served as its associate pastor since January 2015. She entered into Commissioned Ministry with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Pennsylvania in February 2018.

Gena earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary. She has completed education courses toward a PA Teaching Certificate in Secondary Mathematics through Drexel University.

Gena served in South Sudan with the Mennonite Central Committee from 2006-2009, where she was seconded to the New Sudan Council of Churches and the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek, supporting local peacemaking efforts.

Gena loves working with others to envision, plan, facilitate and evaluate faith-full learning experiences for all ages. She is particularly interested in how faith is formed and nurtured throughout the various stages of life. She is passionate about making sure children and youth find their places in the worshipping, learning, and serving community that is the church.

Gena is a novice beekeeper and quilter and enjoys being outdoors. She likes to read, cross-stitch, play the piano, tutor math, and spend time with family, especially her son Isaac.

I am blessed to be part of the staff here at Fairhill Manor Church.  I grew up in the Disciples of Christ and have fond memories of my church, camp Laurelview and church dinners.  I have been married to my husband, Mike for 43 years and we have three grown children, a son and two daughters.  I have 9 grandchildren who I love dearly and enjoy spending time with them. Our home church is Central Assembly of God in Houston, we have attended there for over 25 years.
I love to read, work crossword puzzles and sew, and watching Wheel of Fortune!  I cherish time spent with God and family.

Audra Allen

20160908_143218 I’ve been organist at FMCC since 2005. I have two awesome kids, Noah and Avery, that keep me busy with their extra-curricular activities. I love being with my family more than anything. I enjoy music, reading, cooking, and going to the movies. I also REALLY enjoy making people laugh – a day without laughter is a day wasted!!
